Affiliate disclosure & editorial standards

Editorial principles
- Rankings and scores are NOT affected by commission rates. We may surface a low-commission link when it is the best product for the reader.
- Sponsored links carry
rel="sponsored nofollow"per Google guidelines. - Affiliate disclosure appears on every article (footer, FAQ, button rel attrs).
- We do not publish "sponsored content." No brand pays to be ranked higher.
Our methodology (the honest version)
BeautySift does not operate a first-party clinical lab and we do not claim to have personally tested every product we rank. We are a meta-analyst: we aggregate verifiable public sources (Sephora verified reviews, Ulta reviews, Reddit r/SkincareAddiction, Allure, Byrdie, NYT Wirecutter, Dermstore editorial, PubMed studies, FDA clearances, INCI ingredient analysis) into evidence-weighted recommendations. See how we analyze for the complete source-weighting and scoring rubric.
Every factual claim in every article traces to a documented citation
in the article's sources[] field.
AI content & FTC compliance
BeautySift uses AI tooling to research, draft, and format articles — but every published article is generated under strict editorial constraints that prohibit fabricated test data, fake clinical claims, or fake reviewer testimony. We follow the FTC Endorsement Guides and California's CCPA.
If you ever believe we have violated these principles, please contact hello@beautysift.com.
