Goop Beauty Debuts 20% Vitamin C+ Advanced Brightening Serum

L’Officiel USA’s May 15 launch edit lists the serum at $125 and says it uses L-ascorbic acid, ectoin and ferulic acid. That ingredient pairing is the headline: L-ascorbic acid is the classic form of vitamin C, while ferulic acid is commonly used in antioxidant formulas.

What is new

This launch is aimed at brightening and more even-looking tone, not a gentle starter serum. A 20 percent vitamin C product can be appealing if you already tolerate active skincare, but it may be too assertive for cheeks that sting from cleanser or flush after a hot shower.

The presence of ectoin is interesting because it gives the formula a barrier-comfort angle alongside the brightening claim. Still, price and tolerance will be the deciding factors.
